Terms of Service

The free AI coding platform, operated by Welink Tech. Free tier funded by ads · Pro without ads.

1. Agreement & the parties

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and WELINK TECH, a company registered with the Nanterre Trade and Companies Register under number 984 800 136 R.C.S. Nanterre, with registered office at 6 rue des Bateliers, 92110 Clichy, France (SIRET 98480013600017, EU VAT FR28984800136) ("Welink Tech", "we", "us", "our"). Welink Tech operates the Unchained Code platform ("Unchained Code", the "Service"), which includes the web builder at unchainedcode.dev, the Unchained Code desktop application, and the Unchained Code command-line interface. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

Unchained Code is an AI-assisted software development platform. It lets you prompt an AI coding agent to write, run, preview, and deploy web applications. The platform has two tiers:

  • Free tier — unlimited chat plus 10 free build credits a day (no credit card, no lockouts), funded by advertising and sponsors, running on a rotating pool of open-weight models.
  • Pro — a paid subscription that removes ads, reduces throttling, and prioritizes access to premium models.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher. If you are under 18, you represent that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By registering, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Accounts & security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised. During the beta, new accounts may require a valid invite code.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice, and we may throttle or block requests we reasonably determine are automated abuse of shared free infrastructure.

  • Generate or distribute malware, exploits, or content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract the Service, its models, or its outputs.
  • Abuse the free tier by credential stuffing, creating automated accounts, farming quotas, or reselling access to the Service.
  • Attempt to bypass throttling, quotas, invite gates, or security controls.
  • Upload content you do not have the right to process.

6. AI-generated output

The Service generates code using large language models. Output may be incomplete, insecure, non-functional, or contain errors. You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and securing any code before using it in production. We do not guarantee that generated code compiles, passes tests, complies with law, or is free of vulnerabilities. Generated output may resemble existing copyrighted material; you are responsible for ensuring your use of any output does not infringe third-party rights.

7. Your content, privacy & model improvement

You retain all ownership of the prompts you submit, the code you generate, and the projects you build. To sustain the free tier and continuously improve our models, free-tier interactions are processed and recorded as anonymized, secret-scrubbed datasets (all API keys, credentials, tokens, and sensitive strings are automatically purged prior to logging). Individual prompts or private secrets are never shared. Pro subscribers ($20/m) and Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) sessions benefit from zero data retention.

8. Free tier & advertising

The free tier is funded by advertising and sponsors. Free-tier users may see sponsored messages and contextual ads. Ads are served on the free tier only; paying Pro subscribers do not see ads. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers. Sponsors may receive aggregated, anonymized metrics, never individual conversations.

9. Pro subscription

Pro is a recurring subscription that removes ads, reduces throttling, and prioritizes premium models. Billing is handled by our third-party payment provider. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled in accordance with our payment provider and applicable law. We do not guarantee specific model availability, latency, or throughput.

10. Fair use & throttling

The free tier is shared infrastructure and is generous but not unlimited in throughput. To protect the experience for everyone, we apply soft throttling — queueing, delays, and temporary model downgrades — rather than hard cutoffs. During peak upstream pricing windows we may reduce free-tier usage to avoid exhausting shared quotas, and anything already running will keep running.

11. Third-party services & integrations

The Service may integrate with third-party platforms such as GitHub, Vercel, Netlify, and Supabase. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, security, or conduct of third-party services, even when they are connected through Unchained Code.

12. Intellectual property

The Unchained Code name, logo, and brand are the property of Welink Tech. Portions of the Service are built on open-source software and are subject to their respective licenses. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of our intellectual property to you, except the limited rights expressly granted to use the Service.

13. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any output is accurate, safe, or lawful.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Welink Tech and its affiliates, officers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) fifty euros (€50).

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Welink Tech from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

17. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall first be addressed informally by contacting us; if it cannot be resolved, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as the Service evolves. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.
